Dali in Yunnan

The beautiful city Dali is the capital of the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture in the northwest of Yunnan district. It has traditionally been settled by the Bai and Yi ethnic minorities.

The city is located on the west side of the Erhai Lake at the foot of the Cangshan Mountain. It is one of Yunnan’s major tourists destinations, along with Lijiang, for tourist from China and abroad.

Famous attractions in Dali are the Dali Museum, the old walls and the historical streets with the traditional houses of the Bai people, and the three Pagoda’s of the Chong Sheng Temple.

Dali
